Hello, my name is Milky. As much as I'd rather not do this,

I am asking desperately for assistance in getting funds for housing after deciding to not renew my lease due to rent raise, tenant/landlord disputes and hostile roommates creating a toxic environment for me to live in. I am in connection with the Los angeles Healthy Housing foundation and other housing programs to help me locate a low income living space. I want to be out by end of February/March 1st.

Things took a drastic turn for me and my iwhen the fires near Pasadena affected my work hours. The photo banner was from January during the beginning of the fires. My asthma was heavily affected by the resulting toxic air quality. I had to visit the ER, which prevented me from being able to report back to work 4 days later. Well, with California being a "fire-at-will" state, it means they can fire you and owe you no severance or explanation. So despite having a doctor's note for my employer during my medical leave, I was terminated for being medically ill, which is completely legal in California!

After at first accepting small rent payments, my landlord has now resorted to putting me in a legal standoff. I cannot qualify for any state financial assistance with no eviction notice, he will not discuss it and wont respond when I bring it up. He has resorted to intimidation tactics including trying to have my dog taken by animal control by filing a false report and posting an ad selling my dog for $200 against my wishes... I feel I am now entering an unsafe situation that requires I leave with my dog to a safe place. I am on a lease with 3 other people and no one wants to pay any utilities/gas/water that is under my name. I was told I could take the services out of my name once I move and the new tenants take over.

I am asking for any financial assistance, prayers, links to anything you think would help me. I have a full time job, but the hours are not consistent, so I do need help trying to stay afloat while job hunting and trying to save for a new studio. Please help me find a safe place so I can move on from this very stressful chapter of my life.
