Milkshake’s Not Done Dancing Yet
Donation protected
Our family is longing to see the sparkle return to eyes that have dimmed—the rapid wag of a joyful tail and kisses that once covered our faces. We are desperately hoping for a sign that our “Milky” is coming back to us.
Milkshake is more than just a pet. She has been my therapist on off days, my nurse when I have needed care, and the one who has helped shape me into a better person. She has taught me patience, how to find lightness in the heavy moments, and how to love beyond myself.
Milkshake brings warmth and joy into every room she enters. The frailty we are seeing in her now is not like her at all. She always had a pep in her step and just the right touch of mischief. She lives for car rides, digging up backyard treasures, and curling up beside me during our little storytime yarns. Milkshake needs immediate medical attention. She is urinating blood, having trouble walking, and clearly in discomfort. She is still fighting, but needs help.
The vet will likely require bloodwork, imaging, and multiple medications—all of which will add up quickly. And in today’s economy, it is nearly impossible for an elderly grammy/GG (me) who is on a fixed income, to cover these expenses. We love Milkshake deeply and will do anything we can to help her—but right now, we are reaching out to you for support. Even just a dollar or two could make a real difference. I am appealing to all animal lovers, kind hearts, and anyone who has ever had a pet change their life. Please help us help her. We do not know exactly what is wrong with Milkshake yet, but we do know that she deserves to be pain-free. I promise to provide the vet’s information as soon as her appointment is scheduled. Without payment, we cannot proceed. Every share, every dollar, every prayer—it matters more than you know. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for understanding that family does not have to walk on two legs to mean everything.
P.S. Please share. It costs nothing, but it could mean everything.
