Albert Costanzo (Aly) is a wildly imaginative artist working with Milk River Arts in Richmond, Va. For years, Aly has been talking with us about his lifelong dream of publishing a picture book. We are making that dream a reality, and we need your help!
With support from Milk River Arts, Aly has spent 3 years producing 50+ full color illustrations and a complete written narrative for a tale about two time-traveling rabbits WHISKEY & DOO RABBIT: THE ADVENTURE TO THE CASTLE IN THE SKY. It's part adventure, part love story: a beautiful example of Aly’s “wild imagination” at work.
Now, we're ready for design and production. Your gifts will help Milk River Arts to:
- Transform Aly's drawings and writing into a compelling book design, ready to print.
- Print, and hand-bind 100 copies of Aly's book for sale.
- Install a gallery exhibition and sale of hundreds of Aly’s original drawings and paintings.
- Throw a big, joyful book-launch party & exhibition opening to celebrate Aly and all he has created!
Aly will receive proceeds from the sale of his artist book and his paintings.
Gifts to this campaign will go to Milk River Arts, a 501c3 nonprofit, to cover the design and production costs of Aly’s first artist book, framing of Aly’s artwork, and renting a gallery space to host the exhibition, opening and book launch party!
