Milk Bar opened its door at 620 Vanderbilt Avenue in Brooklyn in 2009. Five years later in similar fashion, Brunswick opened on Prospect Park West to serve the Windsor Terrace community. In 2017 another Milk Bar opened in Park Slope. These three restaurants are a family – we share teams, ideals, values, and most of all the desire to serve our communities and do our part to keep neighborhoods strong in Brooklyn.
We could not have done any of this without the tireless dedication of our team. From our cooks, to our dishwashers, to our servers/baristas, we depend on nearly 25 team members to help run our restaurants, and in return they rely on us to pay their bills and feed their own families.
When Governor Cuomo ordered restaurants to close in order to help contain the outbreak of COVID-19, we understood and wanted to keep everyone safe. But we were heartbroken to put everyone on our team out of a job.
We have every hope and intention of re-opening. But we don’t know when that will be – and the pain our team is managing is happening now. Our neighbors, friends and fans have asked for a way to help, and for that we are so grateful. ANY amount helps. Really.
This fund is to help everyone who works for the Milk Bar/Brunswick family. 100% of the donations will go directly to our amazing staff. We hope to welcome you back soon. Please everyone take care and stay safe.
