Our brother, Collin Mize, born and raised in Victoria, TX and a graduate from Goliad High School class of 2010 was diagnosed with FSGS CKD in 2014. FSGS is a rare disease that attacks the kidneys ability to filter toxins from the blood which ultimately leads to kidney failure. Due to his kidney disease, he was medically discharged from the military after 6 honorable years of service in the US Navy. He was recently placed on dialysis in Waco, TX where he and his family reside. Dialysis is a very time consuming and exhausting process that will indeed make life a huge challenge for our brother, as well as his wife Nicole and their two children, Johnny and Avery. Collin is the youngest of 8 siblings and a wonderful uncle to 8 nieces and nephews. He is now in the process of becoming waitlisted in TX to receive a transplant. Until then, Collin is attending a dialysis clinic 3 times a week, 8 hours at a time. Meanwhile, he is pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering Technologies at TSTC Waco. We are creating this fund for Collin and his family to help ease some financial burden during this very long road to recovery. If you cannot donate at this time, prayers are greatly appreciated. Also, if your interested in giving the ultimate donation of life itself, please consider the opportunity of a living donor transplant. Thank you all and God bless!
