On the 21st June 2025, myself and 3 other Celtic Manor Twenty Ten members will be taking on the 72 hole challenge in aid of Military v Cancer.
This will consist of 18 holes on the Twenty Ten, followed by 18 holes on the Monty, 18 holes on the Roman and then a final 18 holes back on the Twenty Ten.
There will be no buggies involved, every round will be walked!
For the golfers amongst you, you will know how tough this will be to complete in one day, for the non-golfers amongst you, to put it into perspective, we’ll be walking around 80,000 steps over undulating terrain whilst playing golf (probably badly!)
Military vs Cancer focus is on alleviating the effects of cancer for Military personnel past and present, as well as their immediate families. We provide:
Additional family / nursing care funding.
Travel costs for treatment, including hotel stays for family members.
Home adaptations.
Respite breaks.
Memory making trips.
Special experiences, especially for those with a terminal diagnosis.
Peer group / community support for serving forces members and their families.
