Military family in desperate need for some help.
My doctor placed me on full bed rest for the safety of me and our baby. My previous C-section scar had begun to rip due to the strain of my job in healthcare and the internal pressure the scar is under. I was dealing with working for 5 days in the week and only getting just over $200 when I should’ve gotten over $500. Despite this, I did what I could to get it fixed and it was a dead end. Due to the government shutdown, my partner’s monthly military drills were postponed for a while and they barely pay him the amount it costs just to get to his base alone. Due to budget cuts, he got laid off from his old job and has a start date for his new one that took months for them to contact him about for a starting day. My family was heavily relying on me financially and I feel like I’ve failed them due to multiple medical problems and this pregnancy. We can’t afford a roof over our heads, gas in our vehicle anymore for appointments and essential trips, our truck’s mechanical needs have been delayed so long it nearly caused us to crash so we have no transportation, we can’t afford household essentials (toilet paper, baby wipes, diapers, dish soap, etc anymore), our phones are about to be turned off, we can’t afford any bills, and so on. We have no friends or family to help us and I’m already 3cm dilated and on the verge of active labor. At this rate, my partner’s won’t even be able to be there for his daughter’s birth and I have no way home with the baby. I’m required to have a C-section due to complications being managed as best as they can be (heart condition, active bleed from a ruptured vessel in my abdomen but the surgeon cancelled my operation after I was already there and prepped so I have to be closely monitored for the blood loss, constantly getting blood and iron transfusions that I can’t get to anymore, etc). This is only temporary as I WILL be going back to work, but the doctor doesn’t want me working for 3 months postpartum due to pregnancy complications alone. We’ve managed the best we can but we have no other options available to us. We live in a very rural area and in an unstable living situation with lots of tension and problems on top of everything else. We just need help with covering the more immediate things. At this rate, my partner won’t even be able to get to his first day of work due to the vehicle being too dangerous to drive and having no gas. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
