Military Family House fire recovery.
Donation protected
On Saturday May 24th we had an electrical surge through our house, while trying to fix it we found not only had our electrical box became electrified to the touch the plugs in the house began to pop. The one in the master bedroom caught fire and burned up a good amount of clothes, jewelry, carpet and children stuffies. We also lost all our food in our refrigerator due to power being out for over two weeks. It cost us 8,000 to fix the electric and it'll cost us even more to replace what was lost. We used all our savings on the electrical and haven't been able to replace the now mildewed carpet or things lost in the fire. We just got back into our house after the electrical was fixed on June 4th. Our master bedroom is still full of soot and debris as we are trying to clean it out. But now we have to figure out how to replace things damaged not only by the fire but the water used to put out the fire.
