Healing Center for Military and First Responders
Tax deductible
The Davis Focus Project was designed to help military service members and first responders overcome several conditions including Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, depression, anxiety and insomnia. The United States has been at war for 22 years. Our military service members and first responders have sacrificed so much to keep our country and streets safe. Many of them need our help to recover from physical and psychological wounds they have incurred in the line of duty.
The Davis Focus Project will do this through Centers for Human Performance across the nation which are free to Uniformed Service Members and First Responders but open to the public. The Centers for Human Performance are dedicated to providing non-verbal therapy and resources such as Neurofeedback, Sensory Deprivation, Vibro-Acoustic therapy, Ice Bath and IR Sauna therapy, lectures and courses on Human Performance, and several other performance-boosting concepts that are backed by science to help improve psychological and physical performance.
The best part about all of these treatments is that they do not require the recipient to speak, which means they do not have to relive their trauma. Service Members and First Responders can seek the help they need without fear of confronting the stigma that so often surrounds mental health treatment. It’s done through our center and it’s free. Best of all, they do not have to worry about losing their jobs or pay incentives because of something they might say in a traditional therapy session.
In this day and age with cell phones, iPads and a plethora of other digital devices there are more distractions than ever. These distractions have impacted our children's ability to focus, interact with others, and learn.
So how do we fix this?
We give them more power over their minds. Our program starts by empowering school-aged children across the United States to tap into the full potential of their minds. We give them the skills they need to identify negative trains of thought and to better control their reactions to difficult situations that may arise. We show them how to be more present so that they may better enjoy life and focus on what is most important. We accomplish all of these goals by implementing 2 meditation protocols in schools nationwide both public and private. We call this the School Focus Project and it starts with a 5-10 minute guided meditation session at the beginning of the school day to clear their minds and prepare them for learning. Then after their morning session of learning when the mind has become fatigued and heart rate and cortisol levels have increased, we run them through a Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR) protocol that is scientifically proven to bring the heart rate and cortisol levels down, initiate recovery of the brain, and start the storage of information in long term memory by entering a deep state of relaxation. NSDR is the most effective way to accomplish these goals second only to sleep.
Please stand with us in our fight to help the nation heal and find its true peak performance. We cannot do this alone and appreciate any and all support.
