Mili's Poland Research Trip

As the first person in my family to attend a university, I am constantly seeking experiences that will help me meet my academic and career goals. The UHD Research in Poland trip will help me advance academically by allowing me to gain valuable hands on experience in a microbiology research lab at the University of Gdansk. As a Biological and Physical Sciences major, I plan on attending graduate school and pursuing a career as a Clinical Lab Scientist. This research trip will allow me to gain necessary experience that is vital in this field. This is the type of experience that I need to help me stand out as a potential graduate student candidate while applying for graduate programs this coming Fall 2016. 
      This trip is also a great opportunity for me to perform community service abroad. Volunteering and working with children is something that I am passionate about and thoroughly enjoy, and I plan on pursuing as many volunteer opportunities as possible while studying in Poland.  
      All donations will go towards the costs of airfare, housing, food and transportation. I have until June 30, 2016 to raise enough funds, or I will not be able to participate in this research trip. Every dollar counts!
     Overall, I plan on taking full advantage of this research trip to gain priceless experience in a microbiology lab setting, help the local community by volunteering, and immerse myself in a new culture!
