Hi my name is Natalia Peña I am the mother of Miliano Cruz unfortunately my son of 4 years old drowned at the lake on June 26th 2022 he was resuscitated by an off duty nurse that luckily by a miracle she was there on sight. She did CPR on my son and he had a pulse but his breathing level was very very low they waited until the ambulance got there. While he was in the ambulance he had a cardiac arrest then a helicopter got there and flew my son to Duke University Hospital. He was in the ICU for two weeks and a half. Now my son needs help to recover from his brain injury in which the doctors have said my son has moderate to severe brain damage and saying he will never be able to walk, talk or eat like the normal kid we all love and know.. Im also seeing that it is affecting his vision as well. As a mom that was the worst news to ever receive and I just immediately did not want to give in.. I searched online and I came across this mother who has been through a similar situation the Carlson Family and thanks to the mother I now know what to do. I want to raise money so I can take my son to get Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy something that medicaid does not cover.. for obvious reasons we do not have the money because it is very expensive and from there we plan on taking him to get physical therapy. I'm asking the community to help donate for my son so I can take him to get the help that he so desperately needs. Thank you in advance and what ever we don't use it will be donated to a family who is suffering from a near drowning event.
