My name is Jorge. I work with an amazing team of mental health and substance abuse treatment professionals at Padron Counseling Services in Idaho Falls Idaho. The treatment teams along with several close friends are raising money for our colleague Mary B. and her family. Mary was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and requires immediate medical intervention. She is married and has two beautiful children.
Mary has been the program manager at PCS for many years. She is also the primary counselor for the adult and adolescent treatment programs. She is known throughout southeast Idaho as one of the best substance abuse counselors around. Those of us who know her, already know that she is tough on her clients and will never be mistaken for a "hand holder". This is not a practiced treatment approach; this is Mary to the core of her being! Her ability to adapt and meet her clients at their level has made her extremely effective in helping hundreds of people get clean and sober. She has touched many lives in our community and we want to support her like she has supported many of us in our time of need.
The outpouring of support over the past few weeks is a testament to Mary's dedication to serve others. I ask all of you now to help us raise money for the family to help with medical and travel expenses. The money we raise will all go directly to the family.
This week we received exciting news! Mary has been accepted for treatment at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City. We don't know exactly what the treatment will entail or the amount of travel required, however it will disrupt their lives drastically. We want to help the family in any way we can and I know many of you want to support her. Here is our chance!

If you know them or see them in public please don't speak of the gravity of the situation while the children are present. They are processing this as a family and thank you for your discretion.
