MILES AND NURI — a buddy drama road movie

Through day and night, a driver and a migrant hitchhiker journey together through the California desert. At first they’re just using each other for their own reasons, but they prove to be wrestling with similar problems. Through their strange friendship, they may find a way to escape their burdens– and perhaps even their former ideas of themselves.

Miles and Nuri is a film about finding your place in a troubled world.

THE ASK

Dear friends— in 10 days our tightknit team will begin production on my short thesis film! We have already raised $5,000 of the funds necessary and need your support to gather the rest.

As this is a road movie, we will be filming in a variety of locations throughout Southern California in the areas of Lancaster, Palm Springs, Temecula, and San Diego.

Why Us

Cemil, Max and I have lived as transients and know how much a friendship can mean during such times. The film is a reflection of young adult anxieties and longings in the present day— the search for meaning and beauty in a world that is often confusing and harsh.
