Miles that Matter - In honour of Lynda and Bridie
Hi, I’m Jodi and I’m from Dundonald. I’m starting this fundraiser in honour of two of the most incredible women I’ve ever known — Bridie Sutterfield and my auntie Lynda reid.
Bridie wasn’t just my best friend’s mum — she was like a second mum to me. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and love, and she treated me like one of her own. Losing her to cancer was devastating, and the hole she left in all our lives is still impossible to describe.
My auntie Lynda was another pillar in my life. She was strong, kind, and someone I always looked up to. She had a heart that never stopped giving and a spirit that lifted everyone around her. Cancer took her from us too — far too soon — and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her.
I want to do Something positive. Something that honours their memory and helps others facing this cruel disease.
I’ll be running / walking 2 miles a day for 30 days to raise awareness and funds for cancer support and research. Every step I take is for Bridie and Lynda — and for every family who has been affected by cancer.
Your donations will go towards cancer research. Whether you donate £1 or simply share this page, you’re helping me keep their memory alive in the most meaningful way.
Thank you so much for your love and support.
