Miles' Journey to Recovery: Your Help Needed
Donation protected
On the morning of June 28, our 15-year-old son, Miles, was riding his dirtbike with a friend on the back. He was headed up to his mom’s house. A vehicle turned in front of them and they were involved in a nearly catastrophic crash. Both children hit the vehicle but Miles took the brunt of the impact. His injuries were extensive and severe; including skull fractures, a broken pelvis, and a shattered ankle and heel. He will be in a wheelchair and his bed for at least the next 3 months.
The accident happened in Santa Fe but Miles was almost immediately flown to Albuquerque to UNM Children’s Hospital. While he was there he had three major surgeries in 4 days and spent 10 days total there. He’s back in Santa Fe now and pretty much needs someone around 24/7.
Unfortunately, life doesn’t stop for any of us. Both of us have missed almost two weeks of work.
Any and every contribution is appreciated and will go to medical and life needs for Miles.
