Ben & Nipper are running the Swansea Half Marathon on Sunday 8th June to raise money for a very special lady, Sue Warne.

Sue has been waiting years for a hip operation on the NHS, but sadly, she’s now been told that no surgeries are happening in her area because the hospital roof needs fixing first. You couldn’t make it up.

While it’s not life-threatening, it is life-limiting. Sue lives in constant pain and it’s stopping her from doing the things she loves. So we’re raising money to help get her the treatment she needs abroad.

Ben: “Sue is actually my girlfriend Lauren’s nan. Lauren would have run the race herself, but five years ago she broke her hip. Between the two of them they’re singlehandedly keeping the orthopedic industry going. So I’m stepping in to do the miles for both of them.”

Nipper: “Afternoon all, I’ll be running the swansea half and it's safe to say I now know what Ranulph Fiennes must have felt as he set off to conquer the North and South poles. You don't get to pick your mother in law but with Sue I got one of the best. She's done loads for me, Amy and our girls so hopefully now I can give something back.”
