Miles for Nora’s Progress

Donation protected

Intro Summary:

I’m running the Prairie on Fire Backyard Ultra for my daughter, Nora, a joyful, determined little girl who has taught me more about endurance than any race ever could.

Over the years, Nora and I have found a unique joy in running together. From half-marathons to full marathons, even two ultra-marathons, we’ve crossed finish lines most never imagined possible.

This time, we’re taking on something different: a Backyard Ultra, a relentless 4.167-mile loop run every hour on the hour, with no set finish line, only the will to keep going.

Every loop I complete will help fund Nora’s next round of pediatric intensive therapy.

Sponsor a loop. Fuel a milestone. Walk with us toward progress.

Our Story:

Nora was born with Dup15Q Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that impacts her speech (Nora being non-verbal), motor skills, and overall development while also suffering from seizures. She’s faced more in her young life than many ever will but Nora keeps moving forward, with a grit that inspires everyone who meets her.

Since March 2022, she’s participated in Pediatric Intensive Therapy Clinics, which have pushed her physically, emotionally, and mentally, offering slow but meaningful progress.

In our world, we don’t measure progress in milestones, we celebrate
inchstones.

And one of those inchstones changed everything: Nora took her first independent steps in late 2024.

We’re now working to build on that progress. These sessions help Nora improve her walking, coordination, spatial awareness, and confidence, building the foundation for greater independence, safety, and freedom.
But this care isn’t covered by insurance. It’s 100% out of pocket and that’s where this fundraiser comes in.

The Race: Prairie on Fire Backyard Ultra

On September 6th, I’ll be running 4.17 miles every hour on the hour until I tap out of the race. It’s a brutal test of endurance but nothing compared to the perseverance Nora shows every single day.

I’m calling it “Miles for Nora” because each loop will bring us closer to her next breakthrough.

Closing Note from Logan

Being Nora’s dad has taught me that endurance isn’t just about miles, it’s about love, patience, grit, and showing up. This fundraiser is about more than a race. It’s about believing that with the right support, our children can do things we never imagined.

Thank you for supporting us.

With gratitude,
Bri & Logan Turner
