Starting mid April , I’ll be walking from Folkestone to Portsmouth and back roughly 230 miles—sleeping on beaches, carrying just the essentials, and taking each step as part of a personal challenge.
But this walk is about so much more than me. It’s about families who face a heartbreaking reality: losing a loved one and not being able to afford a proper funeral. I’ve heard stories of parents who couldn’t give their loved one a farewell, siblings who couldn’t say goodbye properly, and families forced to make impossible choices in their grief. That shouldn’t happen.
Every mile I walk will be for these families. Every blister, every tired muscle, every long day on the road will be a reminder that small acts of support can make a huge difference. Even a donation of £5 or £10 can help a family give their loved one the dignity and farewell they deserve.
