Hey, I’m Kyle — a medical student and first-time half marathon runner.

A few months ago, I made a commitment to turn my life around — physically, mentally, and professionally. I’ve lost over 20kg, laced up my trainers, and now I’m pushing myself to run a half marathon this August.

But this isn’t just about the run.

I’m currently studying medicine — something I fought hard to get into, despite life’s hurdles. As a Black medical student, I’m proud to be part of the next generation of doctors bringing more representation, compassion, and drive into healthcare.

I’m raising funds to support two things:

1️⃣ Contributing toward my medical school expenses

2️⃣ Funding an international elective placement — ideally in The Hospital For Sick Kids in Canada (or any other children's hospital in the world!)

I’m passionate about paediatrics and want to gain hands-on experience working with young patients globally. It’s a chance to grow, learn, and bring that knowledge back home to shape the kind of doctor I’m becoming.

Whether it’s £2, £20 or even just a share of this page — any support means the world. This is a massive challenge for me, but every mile I run brings me one step closer to the kind of future I’ve always dreamed of.
