Floodwaters from Hurricane Ida wreaked havoc in my neighborhood, Mamaroneck, New York, destroying homes and businesses. The Community Resource Center (CRC)has played a central role in the recovery effort and needs our help to keep helping families who lost everything. The CRC building, located on Center Street in Mamaroneck, was severely damaged in the storm, and yet, their amazing staff mobilized to set up tables in a nearby parking lot in order to keep doing what they do best: serve community members in need.
Recovering from a disaster of this magnitude is a marathon, not a sprint, so on October, 3, 2021, I will run a marathon in honor of the flood survivors. I want to raise as much money as I can for the Community Resource Center to help ensure the people hardest hit by the storm get the support they need.
A donation in any amount will make a huge impact. Please give generously by October 3, 2021. All funds will go directly to the CRC through this donation page.
