Cancer has touched people I love — some fought and won, others we lost. Those experiences stay with me and remind me that every effort matters. I am walking 30 miles in June to honor those memories and to stand with everyone facing this disease.
I am taking on this challenge at my own pace, weaving miles into my daily routine and reflecting on the lives and stories that inspire me. With each step I take, I am reminded that small actions add up. The American Cancer Society funds lifesaving research, programs, and support for patients and families, and I want to help turn everyday movement into real impact.
The statistics are stark: in the United States, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every 15 seconds, someone hears those words. That is why I am walking — because every mile, every share, and every dollar can help prevent, detect, treat, and ultimately beat cancer.
Please join me in supporting the American Cancer Society. Your donation will help fund research and resources that improve the lives of people with cancer and their families. Every contribution brings us closer to a cure and honors those we love.
