MILES FOR ANNDIE
Help our little fighter get to her doctors.
Anndie is our bright, creative, funny 4-year-old who lights up every room she enters. She loves rainbows (especially yellow and green), coloring, writing letters to her family, making up songs, and telling jokes with the perfect timing only she has. She dreams of becoming a ballerina — and we always say it’s perfect, because she’s the only one in our family who doesn’t get dizzy! Even with everything she’s been through medically, she remains joyful, brave, and full of heart.
Since February, but more prominent lately, she has been experiencing a long list of difficult and puzzling symptoms — including frequent high fevers, night sweats, joint pain, fatigue, loss of appetite, and inflammation. Some days, she’s full of light and laughter; other days, she can hardly walk or lift her arms without discomfort, with high fevers and drenched in sweat. These episodes have been growing more intense, and watching her struggle has been heartbreaking.
After months of testing and specialist visits, we were referred to a pediatric rheumatologist who now believes Anndie needs to be seen by a Specialist Pediatric Rheumatologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
This means we are facing regular medical travel to Seattle, weekly appointments in Spokane, and frequent trips to Wenatchee — all in pursuit of answers, relief, and healing for our little girl.
On July 12th, during a particularly intense flare-up, Anndie underwent a lumbar puncture. Just two days later, on July 14th, she was rushed to the hospital and admitted for two days while being treated for a suspected cerebrospinal fluid leak. The severity of this episode fast-tracked her referral to Seattle Children’s Hospital — a huge step forward, but one that brought the financial side of her care much sooner than we had anticipated.
As her parents, we are doing everything we can to advocate for her and stay strong for our family. But as you can imagine, the travel costs are quickly adding up, especially as we continue to care for our other three children at home.
This fundraiser is our way of reaching out for help to ease that practical burden so we can stay focused on what matters most: getting Anndie the care she needs and keeping our family strong and present.
How Funds Will Be Used:
Gas, food, and lodging during medical trips
Replenishing out-of-pocket costs we’ve already spent
All donations go to a dedicated savings account used only for Anndie’s medical travel
If you're able to give, share, or even lift us up in prayer, we are truly grateful. Every act of kindness — no matter how small — helps us carry this load with more hope and less fear.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for walking this road with us.
With love,
Bret, Kyle, Anndie and siblings
