Miles and I are in desperate need of help!

I don’t like asking for help from family and friends but my back is against the wall and I have few options.

I am currently an inpatient at BAMC in San Antonio. I had an accident leaving my back fractured at vertebrae L3. 1 broken rib on my left side and 4 fractured ribs on the right side, my pelvic bone is broken on the right side. And I have a pneumo-thorax. The bottom line is that I can’t sit or stand without assistance right now. I was transferred from the hospital in New Braunfels to BAMC, which is a trauma hospital. It has been recommended that when I leave here that I transfer to an acute rehabilitation center for at least two weeks.

Most of you know that I have been the sole support of our family for almost three years since Miles has Alzheimer’s and hasn’t been able to work for that long.

I no longer have any savings, will have no money to pay rent or utilities for the next couple of months, and no car to drive back and forth to work. If you can give or even lend any amount to help us get through this, or an automobile that you can lend for a while or sell cheaply, we would be blessed. Seriously the car can be UGLY and that would not matter, as long as it runs.
