Mila’s fundraiser for Miracle Feet
In celebration of Mila turning one we are raising funds for MiracleFeet!
MiracleFeet help provide treatment for children born with clubfoot in low income countries.
Mila was born with clubfoot which is a treatable birth defect that causes one or both feet to turn inwards and downwards. It was picked up early at our 20 week scan and since birth Mila has received the best treatment and her little feet are doing brilliantly!
Without treatment, clubfoot would be a painful disability with extreme life consequences. We were sad to learn that for over two million children this is a lived reality.
Left untreated, the condition is a root cause of illiteracy, abuse, malnutrition, and poverty in many parts of the world. 200,000 babies are born with it every year. In low income countries fewer than 15% have access to appropriate treatment
The good news is that, 95% of cases can be fully treated for an average of just £350 per child at a MiracleFeet-supported clinic.
We know we’d spend this in a heartbeat for our girl and recognise our privilege in both being able to make this choice and not needing to living in this country with the means we have.
If you were thinking of giving Mila a gift for her birthday, a donation to MiracleFeet would mean the world to us.
Thank you so very much for any contribution you can make to MiracleFeet as for a child born with clubfoot, treatment unlocks doors to a life of opportunity!
