Mila's fight against leukemia

Mila Blake Lashley was born on 7 March 2022 with a bone marrow disorder called transient myeloproliferative disorder. Tiffany and Trey were informed this disorder would increase her chances of developing leukemia and that she would need regular check-ups to monitor her levels. Mila began regular visits to St. Jude's in Huntsville, AL and unfortunately had er first blood infusion at 8 weeks old due to a drop in her hemoglobin levels.

After several months of weekly blood tests, things leveled out and Mila was able to go longer between visits. In December of 2022, all of Mila's levels were in the normal range!

In February 2023, Mila developed a UTI and abnormal blood tests resulted in her being sent to the ER. They discovered her levels had dropped so significantly that she needed another infusion of blood, platelets and a bone marrow biopsy. The Lashleys were sent to St. Jude's in Memphis, TN where more tests were run. Mila has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and a subsequent treatment plan was established. Mila will receive 6 rounds of chemo and will stay at St. Jude's for 6 months if all goes well. All medical expenses are graciously covered through the generosity of St. Jude's, but there are other expenses that Tiffany and Trey will need to cover. We, the family, are hoping to ease as much strain as possible by asking for help through prayers, monetary donations, and shares.
