As many of you may already know, our classmate and friend Milan Loncar was killed recently by gun violence near his home in Philadelphia. As someone who undoubtedly brightened many otherwise dull days for many of us, it is a heavy loss felt by many. While the two suspects have been apprehended, nothing can bring back the light that Milan added to this world. As a way to honor Milan, we would like to raise money for his family to help with funeral costs, acts of remembrance, or donations as they see fit. Milan’s family envisioned placing a solar powered street lamp at the place of his passing and we would love to help make this possible for them. 

We are a community that is not unfamiliar with grief, but we are a community that has consistently shown an ability to come together and look out for each other. The past ten months have been incredibly troubling for many people, so if a monetary contribution isn’t possible for you at this time, please consider reaching out and checking in on others you know who were closest to him.
