It’s very hard for me to ask for help, but I’m at the point where this is my only option. My dog Mila urgently needs emergency surgery to save her life. I am absolutely devastated because I don’t have the funds as I’m just getting back on my feet after being unemployed for over 6 months.

Mila has been my anchor through the hardest chapter of my life. She moved into my apartment with me during my separation and divorce. She’s been right by my side through job loss, medical procedures, and nights where I didn’t think I could pull through. Mila forced me to keep a routine and a schedule when I wanted to give up, and because of her, I was able to heal and avoid falling into a deep depression.

Now, when she needs me the most, I feel helpless. Mila has a dangerous uterine infection called pyometra, and the only cure is emergency surgery. Without it, the infection is fatal. This surgery is time-sensitive, and I fear time is running out.
