Miko Page

Hi, I'm Miko Page, professional golfer from Brooklyn NY .  My father introduced me to the game of golf at the age of nine.  My love for the game grew and the bond between my father and I was inseparable.  After learning the basics from my father, I spent countless hours at the range at Marine Park Golf Course.  Elmo Jones, the club professional, saw my passion and reached out to me. Over the next couple of years, Mr. Jones helped me to refine my game until his untimely passing.  I was able to win 3 tournaments in the Junior Met PGA, and make the cut in all of the events.  I won an additional five tournaments throughout the greater New York City area.  I made a promise to my late mentor Elmo, that I would never give up on my dreams and that I would work hard every day to achieve them.  I was able to earn a 4 year scholarship to play Division I golf for Wagner College in Staten Island, NY.

 
      My ultimate goal, since the age of nine, is to be on the LPGA tour.  I have recently moved from New York City to Virginia in order to fully commit myself to achieving this goal.  Tournaments and travel expenses can get really expensive and with qualifying school starting in August 2016, my goal is to raise $10,000.  Any amount that you can donate would be greatly appreciated. 

       My goal is to show young girls that dreams do come true with hard work, dedication and sacrifice, no matter where you come from.  I want to break the mold and become the first professional golfer that has ever come out of Brooklyn, NY, and I will continue to work hard everyday to achieve that goal.
