Mikki Takes New York,Georgia, & Connecticut

My name is Michaela “Mikki” McKenzie. I am a Junior dance major at Alabama State University. Recently, I attended the Alabama Dance Festival with ASU’s BFA Dance Program & was awarded a $750 Scholarship to attend a summer intensive at Brenau University along with a $200 scholarship from the Broadway Dance Center in New York City. On Feb. 4th, I was also accepted and invited to attend a summer intensive at the Ballet Hartford in Connecticut as a Diamond Level Dancer. I would love to attend these intensives this summer and further develop my dance training, however I cannot afford to pay the total cost of the these summer programs along with the cost of housing & travel. As someone who wants to heavily further her career and training in dance, something such as a dance intensive would give me an overall increase in my skills and artistry. If you are moved to do so, I am please asking for a donation of any kind to aid in paying for this opportunity to enhance my dance technique and training. I’m a young woman from Montgomery, AL with big dreams & even bigger goals. I want to do all that God has called me to do in any way possible. Thank you for your support and time!
