Mikiiya Foster of Simi Valley, CA, a recent high school graduate, organized a Black Lives Matter protest and galvanized her community. Her protest gathered between two and three thousand people and gave her town a new voice: a voice for equality. The funds will help Mikiiya with her education, so that she can bring her activism and passion to college -- and beyond.
