Hi! Many of you know me and know that I share many things about y life. i'm an open book. There's a big chapter of that book that involves my college years and the people I met, friends I've grown with, and experiences I take with me throughout life. And while I've loved and appreciated the journey my life has been on, there's always been one thing that's been a glitch of mine: I never got my college degree. Sure I went to school for many ear, and even today i support and visit Marian University as much as I can.  In recent months not only have I helped plan events and hosted podcasts to encourage engagement and conversation about Marian, but I was asked to be a part of the Alumni task force as well as the Diversity and Inclusion task force. In conversation I've expressed my only regret was not getting a degree from Marian, and with the help of some amazing faculty we did some digging and found out I wasn't far off from in credits and classes from receiving a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies,  and the possibilities of making that happen. Well, i will be honest with you, the thought of getting my degree was never in my head. I never imagined there was even a chance of this happening - but here we are. In working with the Marian team it seems a door has been opened and I now have the chance finish something I started many years ago. 

I didn't realize just how much this goal meant to me until it was put in front of me. The achievement of finishing, making myself proud, making my friends proud, and my mother....finally getting to see her baby with a college degree in hand - the first in our family - its a goal I cant let go of & a finish line I'm determined to cross. But I need your help.

I unfortunately don't qualify for any grants or financial aid  according to the financial office, but thanks to the amazing officials at Marian they were able to cut down  half of what i owe. The other half is one me, and this is where I need your help, friends.

Please help reach or surpass my goal & get the necessary funds to be able to get back learning online at Marian and finally achieving something I've only dream about.
