Michael Wharton Jr. (Mikey) passed away on May 22nd. He had been fighting kidney disease for many years, which ultimately led to him starting dialysis treatment in January. Michael responded well to the dialysis, and even though life was different, it was good... until it wasn't. Blood work started to show that his liver was failing him, and his health started to go downhill. He had to use a cane to get around, and then all of a sudden, one day, his left side was super weak. He was showing signs of a stroke and was rushed to the emergency room. There, they found he had 2 strokes. Mikey never returned to normal after that. He slowly went downhill with nothing anyone could do. The hard decision was made on Friday, May 16th, for hospice to start coming in on Monday, May 19th.

Mikey had no life insurance, and the cost of the funeral is 11,000 dollars. This burden has been left to the love of his life, Melissa Pullen. Any donations will help and would greatly be appreciated. Donations can also be made directly to the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, VA.
