Mikey's Recovery

Update: 2/15/2020: Mikey's stents are out.  He still has a way to go with some more vet visits.  There may be additional surgery for skin that would not reattach and needs to be removed.

If you haven't already, please see the update with the FirstCoastNews on-air report

Thank you to those who have contributed.  It appears we will be able to cover next Wednesday's appointment.

Original:  Mikey is a Service Dog in Training.  He already is critical to his partner's well being.  Mikey was attacked a few feet from his door while in his partner's arms.

The attack took Mikey and his human down.  The attacking dog was pulled off, but attacked Mikey again shaking him like a rag doll.

The wound are extensive.  They were life threatening.  He is fighting and making progress but needs more attention and possibly surgery for skin that is not reattaching to his little body.

The vet works on a cash basis.  A few people gathered emergency funds so he could receive initial care.  Mikey's partner needs funds for additional  vet bills and repaying a couple people who provided emergency cash.

Mikey needs additional care to finish his healing and continue his journey and training.
