Mikey runs the London Marathon 2025!
As many of you know, this year I am running the London Marathon.
This will be my first time taking on the full distance, and I’ve always said that if I were to do a marathon, the only one I would be willing to do is London.
So, here we are!
I’m using this year's event to fundraise for the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust.
Not many of you will know this, but I’m a bit of a sea geek!
I’ve always been fascinated by the sea, sea life, and, more specifically, whales and dolphins.
For the last few years, I’ve spent a couple of weeks in Scotland running around chasing whales and dolphins.
And in May this year, I’m heading up to take part in Orca Watch Week.
The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust (HWDT) is dedicated to the conservation and protection of marine mammals in the Hebrides, a region rich in whale and dolphin species.
Through scientific research, the trust monitors and studies local populations of whales, dolphins, and porpoises to better understand their behavior, distribution, and threats.
They also engage in public education and outreach, raising awareness about the importance of marine conservation.
HWDT works closely with local communities, governments, and other organizations to promote sustainable practices that protect these vulnerable species and their habitats.
Their efforts are vital in ensuring the long-term survival of marine life in the Hebrides.
