Some poignant stories can have a miraculous ending when imprinted with a celestial touch. I hope such is the case for my friend Mike.

After a quadruple heart bypass surgery in which Michael was clinically dead for an interminable twenty minute period, Michael unexpectedly resuscitated to the delight of the doctors and their staff who still swear that it was a heavenly intervention.

After this gift to us of a second chance for Mike, Mike now finds himself back on the battlefield, fighting this time a Renal disease that has put him on dialysis, which in turn is applying a tremendous amount of pressure on an already fragile heart. Coupled with diabetes, this is a three headed monster that ultimately necessitates a kidney transplant.

Having lost his employment as a result, Mike finds himself in desperate need of what he's always believed in: the goodness of a big hearted benefactor to help him pay for the kidney transplant, a surgery without which Michael will surely undertake a voyage to the firmament; this time for good. He’d leave in the process the vestiges of his precious love to console his ailing mother.
