Mike's Throat Tumor Operation

SUPPORT NEEDED --- Doctor found a tumor ( throat cancer) right on my vocal chord and it's not benign and it needs to get cut out.  And it needs to happen right away before it gets worse.  So yeah not fun.

But I AM stressed about the fact that insurance is NOT covering A LOT of it. Like between uncovered procedures, after recovery stuff and lost work about 25k - 30k.  (And yes I do have what is considered a good policy and not a cheap one but that is how insurance works here).

I make my living with my voice so I have to be VERY careful who does this surgery and how it is done so that I can get my FULL and ACTUAL voice back. 

A regular ENT doctor actually referred me to this new doc because she couldn't guarantee the quality of my voice afterwards whereas he said with certainty he can get me 95% of my voice back and was specially
trained to do this and does this particular operation many times a month.

And all this as I was just getting to the other side of a different medical issue which cost me a about 10k because insurance covered NONE of that one.  

I'd really appreciate your help. I'm handling it but a friend said "why are you handling it alone?" so here I am.

I  was just planning on launching a show and film that were about bringing people together and overcoming racism, sexism and violence...) so I need all the help I can in getting the surgery done right and recovering as fast as possible.

I have to say I feel a bit guilty about asking.  Just uncomfortable for me to ask.

I feel like as an entrepreneur I should just "figure it out" and find a way to make the money AND a friend told me that I also need to know I'm not superman and that would be unrealistic given what I'm about to go through. That creating a new thing and launching while running my current business is not going to support healing and isn't realistic.
