Hi, it’s Mike at Pastiche. We’ve been renovating this beautiful and historic old building since moving in back in 2016. After years of replacing and rebuilding, adding on to the patio, repainting, and maintaining, we’ve got to the point where we’re asking for a little help rebuilding the front porch and replacing the old Pastiche signs. It’s going to cost more than we have available to us because operating costs the last few years have done a number on what savings we used to have set aside for such things.

Depending on how things go, we’d like to have it rebuilt before next winter. We’ve got a contractor who’s said he’d do it for us, so at this time we’re just trying to get the money together. If you can afford to contribute something without it causing you any distress or hardship, we’d be very grateful. If now’s not a good time, we certainly understand. In the big scheme of things, we all have a lot on our plates and have to be careful where we spend our money.

I haven’t thought this through 100%, but there’ll be some kind of a thank you from us. Maybe a porch party when it’s done? That might be fun. Anyway, first things first—let’s see if we can raise some money… Thanks for taking the time to consider us. -M.
