Mike's Open Heart Surgery Costs

Anyone that knows Mike Milliken is aware of his fantastic physical shape and love of running. His regular activity level turned out to be a blessing as he quickly noticed some concerning heart symptoms over the past 2-3 weeks. Thankfully, he quickly sought medical attention, and was diagnosed prior to suffering significant heart damage. However, Mike and Deanna (wife of 10 years) were certainly shocked to learn that Mike was born with a congenital heart defect called bicuspid aortic valve. As a result, at the young age of 37 years old, he will have to undergo open heart surgery to repair the aortic valve defect. Surgery is already scheduled for June 19, 2023. Since Mike is only 37, his surgeon and team of doctors are trying to determine the best course of action to repair the valve, but also allow for longevity and quality of life post surgery. The surgery recovery will be several weeks to months and will be a massive adjustment for Mike and his family.

The smiles in this picture show the pure joy that the Milliken family has felt over the past year as they welcomed their long awaited son, Lucas Russell (born July 2, 2022) . Mike just beams with pride and joy for the love of his beautful family. He is simply an amazing father to precious Lucas and wonderful husband to Deanna. He is loved by so many!!
