Mike's not one to ask for help, but we will

Many Members of Mike Callihan's Broadcasting Family agree that it's time to put his situation in Black & White and make a call for monetary donations. Known to many as the mild mannered Video Engineer with a perpetual smile and a witty wisecrack, Mike was focused on keeping things picture perfect during 35+ years of worldwide sports dominated programming...

until he wasn't.

A dual cancer diagnosis in December 2022, followed by a treatment plan that included chemo beginning October 2023

(& ongoing) was a show stopper. Mike is home in Encinitas, near his soul mate, the ocean. His mom and sister Trish's family are involved in his care. The emotional devotion of so many of you has been heartwarming and healing for our humble compadre.

SVG Broadcasting Fund, living up to its goal of being a "first responder" for broadcasting professionals in need, came through with a much appreciated grant, yet another bright spot.

Still, those funds were exhausted, and the uncertainty of Mike's return-to-work date brings us to this point.
