Mike's New Kidney Fund
My dad, Mike, has been battling chronic kidney disease for his entire life. Unfortunately, we are now to the point that he is in end stage kidney failure and is in need of a transplant. He has been in and out of the hospital since the middle of June and hasn't been able to work and likely will not be able to return to work until he receives a transplant. Prior to his transplant, he will have many appointments and procedures to get his kidneys and his body ready for this major, but lifesaving, procedure. He is also doing dialysis 3 times a week, at 4 hours per treatment, which also significantly impacts his opportunity and ability to work.
Any and all donations would be extremely helpful in getting Mike to his transplant and also assist with the cost of travel to and from Denver for procedures and appointments along with hotel rooms and other accommodations.
Mike is also in need of a kidney donor or a paired donation in order to receive a kidney. If you would be interested in doing so for Mike or another person, please visit: uchealthlivingdonor.org.
