Mike’s Medical and Funeral Arrangement

Hi, my name is Kara and I am trying to raise funds for my step dad, Michael Davenport, who just passed away today, 6/29/22. I cannot begin to explain what this man has done for me and our whole family. He loved life and although we feel he wasn’t done living it, god had other plans for him. He fought for 19 days straight in ICU where he had wonderful nurses and doctors that were doing everything they could to help heal him. He was born with a bad heart valve and had it replaced 12 years ago in 2010. On Friday June 10, he wasn’t feeling well and went into the hospital. They determined he needed to fix his leaky valve that had been replaced 12 years before. We had to wait 9 days before he was moved to UCI where they could perform this surgery. In the meantime he had developed an infection in his lungs, where doctors determined that it was pneumonia. My dad fought so hard to fight that infection but with having a leaky heart valve he was unable to fight off the infection. This ultimately lead him to passing away today with his family by his side. He was a great man and someone who had an amazing heart even though the heart in his body wasn’t as strong as he was. He would give anything for his family. He leaves behind 3 adult children, Aaron, Corey and myself, but more importantly he leaves behind his wife and 12 year old daughter Kyla. He was the provider for them and did everything he ever could for them. We need help to make sure he receives a proper funeral with everything he could have ever wanted.
