Mike's Mayo Clinic Thanksgiving

I would like to take a minute and share with everyone what is going on in the life of a very dear friend of mine Michael Legacy. Mike has been like a brother to me since high school where he first experienced some major health issues. After more than 11 years those health issues have returned.

Mike is dealing with a couple of rare conditions that have taken quite a toll on his body in a very negative way. In the past 6 months I have watched him endure multiple hospital stays and countless transfusions as his condition showed limited signs of improving.

Unfortunately, the regional medical staff have made little progress to date and Michael's primary care physician and specialist have little knowledge of how to treat him.

Mike is currently awaiting a referral to the Mayo Clinic where he will receive collaborative group care from the best doctors in the world in a 24/7 environment.  This is one of the best things that can happen given Mike's current situation.
