**update**

I can not thank everyone enough for all your kindness and support to our family! You are all so amazing and it brings us to tears to know we have such amazing people supporting us ❤️  I am going to keep the go fund me open for a few more days and any additional support beyond our original goal will be used towards traveling to Toronto for the treatment plan provided by the institute. 

As some may know my loving father has been bravely battling metastatic cholangiocarcinoma for over a year now. At the beginning of his diagnosis, he had an operation to remove his tumors which was unfortunately unsuccessful. My father's cancer is aggressive and incurable but he continues to fight hard every day. He has gone through multiple rounds of chemotherapy and gene-modifying therapy in the hopes of preventing the cancer from growing and spreading.

With that being said an opportunity has been presented to my dad to have his tumour biopsies sent to an institution in California for further analysis. The institution specializes in advanced cancer and this will allow for them to have a better look at the cancer genes and come up with a more specialized/targeted chemotherapy treatment plan. The hope is this would allow him to have more time with us and manage his symptom burden better.

We have been told by my father's oncology team that the cost of this treatment is around $6,000. I am reaching out to help alleviate the financial burden of this testing on my parents. I hope to take some of the financial stress away so my mother can continue care for my dad and my dad can continue to fight his brave fight.
