Mikes Covid-19 battle

Donation protected
On March 27th Michael went to the hospital because he wasn’t feeling too good and he thought it was just his diabetes. That same night they admitted him to the ICU diagnosing him with pneumonia, and informed us that they were testing him for the covid-19 virus.

On March 30th we received a phone call informing us that Michael tested positive for the covid-19 virus. His health had been a roller coaster since then. He was put on the ventilator and was heavily sedated and on paralysis for several weeks trying to fight the virus off.

On April 27th the doctor informed us that they needed to remove the ventilator and put him on a tracheostomy due to him being on the ventilator for too long, and it would start to cause more damage to his insides, but they needed him to be clear of the virus. So on May 1st they decided to go ahead with the surgery even though he was still positive for the virus.

On May 4th we received one of the worst phone calls. Stating that Michael had went into cardiac arrest two times back to back and they had to do CPR on him to bring him back. It turned out he had developed a hole in one of his lungs and pneumonia again in the other.  They had to put him back on the ventilator.

Days passed and he was still in critical condition but stable. At this point Mike is showing that he’s fighting and fighting hard and refusing to give up!

Now May 7th and they now have to do surgery on him again, because they need him back on the trech. The surgery was successful. And that next day he was showing such a big improvement! He was opening his eyes, moving his head and even was able to blow kisses! He was progressing so fast after that and it was amazing! They have been able to lower down the breathing machine more and more everyday he was now able to breath without the machine for an hour and a half!

It’s now May 10th and we received the news that he is officially covid-19 virus free! After 44 days of fighting the virus, Mike took that W against it! Like we all knew he would. Now they will be transferring him to another hospital so he can start physical and speech therapy.

Now that he is starting his road to recovery we are asking for donations to cover any therapy, medications, and medical needs. Michael has a very long road ahead of him, but we know he will get through this. We are hoping to have him back home in less than 2 months. Any donations or sharing this link would be very appreciated. Thank you to everybody who has been following mikes story, & mostly for praying for him. Words could never describe how much we appreciate all the support and prayers! Thank you all truly from the bottom of our heats

I thought I would share this testimony...

The night Michael went into cardiac arrest back to back his cousin got ahold of some prayer warriors and a minister to pray. The minister said he would anoint a prayer cloth and pray over it. (Acts 19:11-12).  He dropped it off at her house at 9 pm. And she drove to the hospital to give it to Michaels sweet nurse. She said she would put it on his rail where he could see it. Jesus said unto him, “If thou can believe, ALL things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23

And that very next day, Mike starting improving like never before! The doctor and nurses had just called the day before telling us mike wouldn’t make it through the night, and after the prayer cloth was placed under his pillow a miracle happened. God really showed us a sign. And without God we are nothing. Thank you lord for putting your hands over Michael, and healing him from the virus.
