Mike's Colon Cancer is Back

Hello, my name is Kim Bettino I am the mother to Jackie. Please help me raise money for this little family so they dont drown in the medical bills that are coming their way.

Michael Atwell Son, Father, Husband and Stepdad has been diagnosed with advanced colon cancer. He’s had colon cancer before that the doctors were able to resect a small piece of the colon that was labeled as stage 2 colon cancer. In September Mike went for his yearly colonoscopy and a small mass was found, they took a sample and sent it to 3 different labs where it came back negative. In April, Mike went to the ER for some back pain that turned out the small mass had now grown to 2.5 mm. They contacted his oncologist and we went to see him. Dr Balandin ordered a PET scan to see what we were working with. It turns out the mass is 3.9mm and grew through Mike’s resection and attached to his spine on his L5 thus causing the back pain. A bone biopsy was done to confirm and it was, luckily the cancer has not metastasized into bone cancer.

If you know Mike I cannot emphesize enough how stubborn he is and is as tough as they come, he’s a bull rider if that says anything. Mike would be the last one to ask for help. So his family is asking for him. We would like to lessen the burden and help give them less to worry about at this time when Mike starts chemo this week and has to navigate this new diagnosis. Along with scans, labs, surgeries, and radiation. Please help us give them one less thing they will have to worry about.
