Hello to our family, friends and loved ones, 


Our incredible dad, Mike Flynn, is currently recovering at Regions Hospital from his second extensive brain surgery for a very large and complicated benign tumor.  As many of you know, Dad had a very large benign brain tumor back in 2006. After a major surgery to remove it, Dad recovered quite well. That tumor has since grown back- this time very close to the optic nerve affecting his eye sight. This has been extremely hard and he hasn't been able to work as much with so many medical appointments and his eye sight making it difficult as well. 


We are so grateful that Dad is doing well and we are in awe of his strength, and upbeat attitude. We've never once heard Dad complain or think, "Why me?" Rather, he has faced this head on with grace and strength. As he said to the surgeon "I don't know if I have two or ten more years on this earth- I want to make the most of it."


We are starting this fund to help our Dad with ongoing medical costs throughout the road to recovery. So many friends have asked how they can help and we believe this is the best way to give Dad some peace of mind as he heals. He is perhaps the most humble and hardworking man there is, and we hope this will help Dad to be able to prioritise his health for now. This will help our mom as well as she helps Dad recover- and she just had knee surgery herself!! Thank you all so much for your love and support. It has been a very hard year for the Flynn family- the love and support makes all the difference. We all look forward to *shooting the breeze* with Dad soon!
