Mike's 2022 Big Day for the LCV Fund

It's back! After a two year hiatus, Mike's Solo Birding Photo Big Day will be this Saturday. Your support is greatly appreciated!
I hope to continue our fantastic fundraising results: We've raised over $8,000 for the LCV Fund through these Big Days . Over the past few years the LCV Fund has granted almost $60,000 to charitable organizations helping young women with metastatic breast cancer.

How: Please consider making a pledge or donation for my efforts!
What: Mike is doing a Solo Birding Photo "Big Day" to raise money for the Linda Casill Vogel Memorial Fund. Let me break that down:
* In a "Big Day" (or "Bird-a-thon"), the goal is to identify (see or hear) as many different bird species as possible in 24 hours.
* A "Photo" Big Day means they only count if I photograph them.
* And "Solo" means it's a one-person show: spotting, identifying, shooting, driving, etc.
Who: It's just Mike and all the birds he can find!
Where: Anywhere in New Jersey is fair game.
When: Mike's Big Day will be all day (midnight to midnight) Saturday May 14, 2022 (The same day as NJ Audobon's World Series of Birding)
Why: To raise money for the Linda Casill Vogel Memorial Fund where it will continue to be used to benefit young women with breast cancer. We're in the process of re-evaluating the best way to grant money to charitable organizations in a way best-suited to honor Linda. Unfortunately, I'm unable to update the LCV Memorial Fund website right now, but please check back for updates.
I'm using a different platform this year, so unfortunately I can't solicit donations "per bird". But my goal once again is to break the century mark! See results from previous years.
A special note: It's hard to believe that this July will mark 10 years since Linda's death. Her presence and memories of her are still as strong as ever for me, and we're starting to plan a gathering this year to commemorate her on the weekend of July 17. Keep your calendars open if you might be in the area! Thank you for your love and support.
