Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our beloved brother, teammate, and friend Mikequese Taylor. He was a liberal arts major at Kansas City Kansas Community College and just finished his freshman year as a member of the Blue Devils men’s basketball team. His competitive spirit, contagious laugh, and sense of humor will be deeply missed.

Mikequese was killed in front of his home in Peoria, Ill. Mikequese was home from school to welcome his newborn son into this world.

He leaves behind his mother, brother, and newborn son. As we know the cost and expenses, during this very unfortunate time may be difficult, all donations will go to funeral expenses. Any additional available funds will go to his mother to help her with financial security as she begins a new chapter in her life.
