Hi, My name is DaNette Payzant. I am setting this fund up for the benefit of my sweet sister Mikelene Maycock Gervers. In May of this year Mikelene was hospitalized with Covid 19. She was in the hospital for a month, 3 weeks of which were in ICU. Since her release from the hospital, she has been on oxygen and suffering from multiple ailments which have not allowed her to return to work and we don't know when she will be able to do so. While in the hospital she was also diagnosed with a perforated colon and is still undergoing treatment for that, which may require surgery in the near future. While Mikelene was being monitored for the perforated colon, the scans detected a spot in her back that was just diagnosed as metastatic breast cancer which is stage 4. Mikelene was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2016 and underwent chemo and radiation. She had been cancer free for 4 years. Before she can begin cancer treatment this time she has been told by her doctors she must undergo extensive dental work because of the type of treatment she will receive and the effects it can have on the jaw bones. Metastatic breast cancer has no cure but we are hopeful the treatment will give her several years.

Since Mikelene hasn't been able to work and has quite a battle ahead of her we are trying to help in anyway we can to relieve some of the stress of trying to cover her bills. Help in any amount would be greatly appreciated. My sister is a truly amazing person and I just want to see her happy and help her with what her near future will hold.
