As many of you know I received a wake up call a couple of months ago. While traveling to New York for my father-in-law's funeral I had blood clots develop in my leg which then led them traveling to my lungs. By the grace of God I'm still alive and here today. The ER doctor told me that about 50% of the people that have a double pulmonary embolism die without any symptoms before reaching the hospital. Thankfully that was not God's plan for me. I was hospitalized for 4 days and then I took another two weeks off to get back on my feet after returning home. I thank you so much for the prayers and thoughts you sent to me during this time in my life.
I have had so many people ask me if I needed anything or what they could do to help. I've also had people suggest to me to set up this page to allow people the opportunity to help me with my medical expenses and living expenses while I was out of work. God has been dealing with me on the issues of pride and obedience for a long time. I can be a very stubborn person at times but he has shown me many things now that my eyes and heart have been opened. I'm usually the one who jumps in to help someone in need but have difficulty asking for help for me or my family, usually due to pride.
At the time of this incident I did not have medical insurance. I have since obtained insurance, but the cost of the medicines that I must be on, the hospital and doctor's bills and the money lost for being off of work are very substantial. The majority of the funds for this campaign will be used to pay off my medical bills while the remaining funds will be used for medicines and expenses incurred while missing work. I'm in the process of setting up payment plans for the medical bills and have told the hospital that I was setting up this page to help with that. I again thank all of you for your prayers and ask you to consider donating to help me with these expenses. I would be very grateful for any amount given to help me and my family in this time.
